Everyone knows who Arnold Schwarzenegger is, popular movie star, the Austrian body builder, former governor of California - but now, father of an illegitimate child? According to recent news reports and this article, Arnold finally admitted to having an affair 10 years and fathering a child from that affair. This news came after he and his wife announced they were getting a divorce. They seemed to be a happy couple with a great family, but of course now that these reports have come to light it all makes sense. This article specifically pinpoints how this scandal is going to effect the future of this former Governator. I would have to agree with everything the author says in this article because I believe it will be difficult for him to bounce back politically after this because it is such a horrible scandal. Plus, he's already done enough damage to California's budget and debt, so not many people trust him already. Also, this scandal will definitely put a dent not only on Arnold's personal life, but his Hollywood career. Unfortunately due to his mishaps and mistakes, Arnold's latest ambitions will have to be put on the back burner.

Mankind is totally depraved and his sinful nature is seen throughout history. Law and government were established to restrain this depravity in the governors as well as the governed.
Clearly, this CBT relates very well to this article and the situation at hand with Arnold. Unfortunately, not even leaders or people or high positions in the government are exempt from bad behavior. All of mankind is totally depraved and that is why there are laws and more importantly, God's law. If only Arnold had paid attention to what God's word says, then he might not be in the predicament he is in now.
Cheating on your spouse is such a terrible thing, it goes directly against God. He created marriage as a sacred union between two people, never to be broken. Commandment #7 says to not commit adultery, yet people take that so lightly. Yes, he cheated, but he had so much time to tell his family. So he not only cheated, but lied as well...for YEARS. tisk tisk
ReplyDeleteNot only is this a moral issue, but he has completely ruined his career. His future in politics was a bit shaky, but now its completely demolished. His acting career is probably at risk as well, seeing as this scandal may not go away so quickly. Lastly, his family has been torn apart by a public scandal. He needs to get his priorities in order before the rest of his life falls apart.
